The 2026 quadrennial global conference of the International Association of Chaplains in Higher Education (IACHE) will take place from 8–12 June 2026 in Mainz and Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
IACHE 2026 will provide a unique platform for collaboration, the exchange of best practices, and essential networking among higher education chaplains from around the world.
Our aim is not only to further develop and re-energize chaplaincy practice, but also to deepen our shared commitment to freedom, justice, solidarity, and peace.
Our Conference Aims
We are living in a time of rapid change and uncertainty – and the question of what the future holds is more present than ever. In the region between Mainz and Frankfurt, a remarkable variety of religions and worldviews come together, offering a unique setting for dialogue, reflection and shared exploration.

original papers in the field of interreligious dialogue, comparative
theology, ethics, and related humanities and social
sciences. Building on the success of IACHE 2022 at the
University of Sheffield, we welcome contributions that foster
academic exchange and open up new perspectives for research,
practice, and dialogue.
